satire: One Nation-One Thief

   

     We love slangs...we call them slogans and sometimes War-cry. These slogans have inspired and moved masses generation after generation. Quit India to Dilli chalo to Jai Hind to Aaram Haram hai. Be it Jai Jawan jai kisan or Garibi Hatao, our history is full of them.  Latest in the series is  One Nation-one (whatever holds your fancy) e.g. One Nation-one Party, One Nation-One Election, One Party-One Bank, One Nation-One Airport, One Nation-No Airlines, One Nation-No jobs. 

     

        In the series now we introduce One Nation-one thief.  What is this ? we are one nation but many thieves. We have failed to evolve to One Nation-one thief. Thieves are divided and falling apart, often wasting their precious energy among themselves on petty squabbles and gang-wars. Their talent is badly divided. They seriously lack unity.  Not able to come under one banner. Do not even have Common Minimum Program. Someone is busy churning out fake currency while  some other group is thrifting away their talent merely in pickpocketing or shop lifting. They miserably fail to achieve any synergy whatsoever resulting in pathetically failing in realizing their full potential.

      The Corporate culture has come to stay with us in many fields. While thieves are still employing old obsolete methods. Grow up men ! Gone are the Jungle days of Chambal ravines. Now work is 'On-line'. Why have we become digital ? We have become digital so that now you don't go for kidnapping, instead go for digital arrest.  Entire bank account after bank account can be emptied in a jiffy. No more flaunting  knife or country made pistols, just a click of mouse will do.  This is what i call Ease of Doing business. It is high time thieves summon the special session of their Federation of Chamber of Chori-Chakaari and pass a thanksgiving  motion in favor of the Govt.

    

        Govt is taking utmost care of us. Govt does not want us to lag behind in the latest technological advancements. A la cine actor Raj Kumar "Jaani ! We do not sweet talk you into handing over your jewelry ...We now take away your entire bank locker without bothering you"   We no more send OTPs. We send you running from one Police station to another till you hit the right primitive cyber crime Police station. Only Doctors  are not fake. Advocates are fake, Policeman is not fake, these days entire Police station is fake.  Courts are fake. Branch of popular banks are fake. 

      Keeping in view all this, it is time to seriously consider passing a bill of One Nation-one thief so that the resources are not frittered away.  There is urgent need to pool our resources and put in one direction alone.  Nation has a lofty target of 5 trillion economy, we too need to rise to occasion so that we are on the same page. We have to draft and issue our Mission Statement.  We have to make the dream of one nation-one thief a reality. If need be, let us annihilate all these minor small time operators. The day is not far off when we shall have One Nation-One gang. One Nation- One Game, One Nation-one drink,  one nation-one train. We demand one nation-one thief urgently. No need to send it to any committee. This will get passed by voice vote.
